Bates College vs. Cornell University

When we went up for parents weekend, President Spencer talked of the purposeful work program extensively and the whole atrium in Pettengill was set up for career everything. They take career services seriously. The alumni network is very active. Our daughter chose her school, but I ensured that any college she seriously considered had good career outcomes.

I am glad you are thinking beyond college. Of the many college tours my daughter and I did, we found that none really discussed career centers much, if at all. Most students are just focussing on the primary factors that are important to them, which is understandable. Fit is super important, because if you don’t fit in, it will be more difficult to thrive.
