<p>From what it looks like you buy a card with credit on it and take the train you need to get there. Is there a way to get from the airport to BART?
Is there anything else I need (transportation wise) other than BART and a plane ticket (and maybe a taxi to get to the station [are taxis even used alot there?])?
Is the bus system good enough to take me from a motel to Berkeley and back?</p>

<p>If you're coming in from SFO, the BART station is at the airport. If you're coming in from Oakland International, I think the easiest thing to do is take a bus to the Oakland Coliseum stop. <a href="http://www.bart.gov%5B/url%5D">http://www.bart.gov</a> is your best bet to plan it out.</p>
<p>I would definitely suggest taking BART as opposed to busses or taxis. Everything's too far to conveniently use a taxi, and I hate the inter-city bus system.</p>
