Quick question, was not in the consolidated list.

**Because they/b say painted scenes of life as ordinary people **lived it/b, **rathar than/b scenes from myths, many nineteenth-century American artists differed **from earlier times/b. **No error/b

Could someone explain why it's D? Thanks.

You have to compare alike things. Artists cannot differ from earlier times. You should have the nineteeth-century American artists differed from earlier artists.

Yep ,the artists dont differ from earlier times ; they differ from artists from earlier times !
