BB Score - only gives a range?

I'm pretty new to SAT Prep, and just started doing the practise tests in the Blue Book.

However, I'm confused because all my test results only give a range. I understand that this is because of the varying curves on the actual SAT test, but I've seen threads where people say "Oh I got 2340 and 2300 on my practice tests" or "I got 2030 on a practice test, how can I improve?"

Where do you all get these exact numbers from? Is there a formula?

Please and thanks. =)

Just take the average of the range they give you, or use this chart:

No, there is no formula. Most people just average the two scores in the range and go with that. It tends to be decently accurate when compared to the real test.
