correct answer:e

explanations please?

(d) "Than that of steel" is correct because you're comparing the use of plastics to the use of steel. You're not comparing the use of plastics to steel.

(e) There are no errors.

this is a comparison error. you can't compare the use of plastics to steel. you could compare the use of plastics to the use of steel or plastsics to steel, but not the use to plastics to steel.

there's no error...

dchow beat me to it >:(

wow... that got really messed up. i posted the second post first, but the actual second post went above my first post... forum glitch i guess.

28) Obvious, you shouldn't have had any trouble with that.
29) LONG SINCE gone = Long ago so there is no error.

tokyogurlx3, when you ask for explanation for "no errors", would you please at least tell which part you think is wrong?

somekidinnyc: Stop being a pain. I mean "obvious, you shouldn't have had any trouble with that." Now, obviously, he/she does have trouble with that. Not everyone knows that grammar rule.
