Hey I was just wondering if it's possible to dual-enroll in Ross and LSA? So I could do my BBA at Ross, and if I have enough credits, my BA in Econ at LSA?

If you’re in Ross, you can pursue a dual-degree (if you have enough credits). However, if you’re only enrolled in LSA and not actually in the Business school, you can’t get a BBA and you’re restricted to a max. of 20 credits in the b-school

But would it be advisable to purse the BA after being admitted to Ross? I really would like to major in economics, but I know that Ross would just be loads better career-wise because big firms actually recruit from there.

Personally I don’t think so unless you already have a ton of credits (30+ at least) coming in and you’re thoroughly interested in another area of study. Don’t do it just because you think it looks good, because really, a dual degree matters very little tbh.

Just do a minor. You only take three fewer econ classes (one of which is essentially a stats class), and you don’t have to fulfill the LSA distribution.

What’s the LSA distribution?

I forget all the requirements, but

4 semesters of a foreign language (which can be voided by placement test)
7 credits of each: humanities, social sciences, natural sciences

are the main ones
