BC Early Decision for Fall 2022 Admission

I was actually wondering same. As far as I understood, you were not supposed to see LOR’s - they get sent directly from HS to the college so that the writer could write as accurate of a review of the student as possible, without feeling any pressure to embellish. We did not see my daughters …and after reading some of the comments you are referring to, I said to my husband “man, I wish we could read D’s LOR’s!”. I’m assuming they were strong b/c she was admitted but no verification here…

AFTER all admissions done, 2 were shared spontaneously. They were amazing–one had the “best student in X many yrs” with lots of specifics on why . Don’t know on the other(s).

Anyone get accepted to the Nursing program? If so, could you please list your stats? Thank you!

My Daughter got in ED 2 last year and was assigned four years housing too

Do you mind if I ask what her stats were? Thanks!

Common App reported that apps to Highly Selective schools were up 11% overall this year through mid November but MA schools in that category were up nearly 20% showing BC isn’t alone in seeing much more popularity for ED this year in the state. Florida schools were up nearly 50% though!

Where do you find this report?

There was a news report I found on google in regards to higher applications being seen this year…

if you got deferred: are u going to wait for your final decision or apply ED2 somewhere else? also if you are waiting, are you sending in more info?

I don’t think I’ll get in so I’m looking elsewhere. I might ED2 elsewhere - waiting to hear back from a couple more EA schools before I decide. I sent my first quarter grades and LOCI. How about you?

I already sent in my first quarter grades so ill send my semester grades when they come out. I havent written a loci. how did u write yours?

I thanked them for considering my app for ED, explained why BC was my first choice and how I would contribute to the community.

Did you mean you are a legacy (you have a parent that went to BC) or your parent is a legacy (you have a grandparent who went to BC)?

If YOU are a legacy, it should give you a little boost in the EDII round. I believe BC says they “consider” legacy status.

You are a good candidate, congratulations on a strong HS career. Good luck!!

My parent is a graduate of BC, thank you!

Applied slightly higher GPA and same SAT ED1 ‘26. Varsity athlete and similar volunteer hours. Sibling legacy. I was accepted. Good luck.
