Hey guys I want to pursue undergrad Business (finance, accounting or econ). Obviously Stern is the better, but $ remains an issue. I got a University Day thing, so acceptance is not guarenteed either. But if it was you, what would you choose
Boston College with 14K/year scholarship at the Business School (i think its called Caroll)
or
NYU Stern (which is known for its crappy fin aid)
I honestly havent checked out Boston College yet, but I saw NYU and i liked the environment just not too sure if the no campus thing will bother me. Prolly not, but you neva know.
But NYU is most likely affordable, although my rents will ahve to pay soo much and id feel bad.
Another option is TCNJ Full Ride, but I hated the atmosphere.

Ultimately, the decision rests with you and your parents. Start a discussion with your parents about their financial situation and options to make sure that money is not a primary concern. That being said, I personally would choose NYU Stern over BC Caroll. My perspective on paying for an expensive college is to consider whether obtaining a degree from a college offering better financial aid is or is not a better option for my future career. In the case of these two universities, I would choose NYU over BC, since an NYU undergraduate business degree holds considerable value over a BC business degree.

NYU has it all...I did not know till now BC even had a business school, it seems more of a liberal arts college with no real concentration on business...Stern has a lot to offer for both the time you spend there and for the rest of your life, the alumni network is incredible...where ever you decide to go just know there will be endless job opportunities for the rest of your life and isn't that why we go to college? to get a good job and make lots of money?

you need to have a serious talk with your parents, if you haven't already. What a 17 or 18yr old thinks is feasible may not be to parents, even if they try to act as if it is
