I am in a huge dilemma and really appreciate any and all input. I am currently an incoming sophomore at NYU (GSP). While I really enjoyed many aspects of the city, I found it too expensive and also found NYU to be far too artsy for my liking. I applied to transfer to BC (CAS) and was accepted with a very large scholarship. Given that NYU gave me next to nothing, I planned on attending BC. However, after communicating with NYUs financial aid office, I was astonished when they came within 2 thousand dollars of matching BCs aid package.
Now that money is not an issue, I need to make a decision based on where Id do best. I am an intended polisci major and have heard that NYU is better for polisci? Which school caries the better reputation over all? Socially speaking I have 3 very close friends at NYU who I am planning on rooming with next year. I am afraid of the social aspect of transferring, ie meeting new people and also the difference between a campus in NYC and one in the Boston Suburbs. I really appreciate any prospective input.

Umm...I'm an incoming sophomore at BC...
I don't know anything about polisci thou, although I have some polisci friends while doing MUN
BC campus is so awesome!!! You'll love it~ And people are generally really kind. I'm an international student and met much trouble when I first came to US last year, but so many people offered their help and I love BC!
So don't worry about the social aspects...we have crazy parties over the weekends, but you'll always find sth. fun if you are not a party animal.
Concentrate on the academic reputation, I'd say. I'm trying to transfer to NYU actually, cuz I'm a business major. Sorry I don't really know much about polisci...
