Please help! I am an incoming sophomore at NYU in GSP. I was accepted as a transfer to BC in CAS and am currently debating at the very last minute whether to attend. While I love NYC and have several close friends there, I am also very easily irritated by the artsiness that dominates NYU. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Also I am a polisci major and am from the Boston area. Im fairly preppy but not a jock at all.

what exactly do you mean by "incoming sophomore", are you going to be a sophomore next year or a junior? i was a freshman at nyu in gsp last year but left immediately after the year ended. personally, i had a really crappy year at nyu and my family really suffered financially since they basically gave us nothing.

this year i did apply to BC as a transfer student and found that although it does cost a lot to attend BC, they are pretty generous with financial aid with most of the money being free and not loans. a major pro for choosing BC. and since you are from the boston area, you might feel more comfortable there.

i think ultimately you have to say whether you love nyu or not. because if you are simply staying at nyu because of new york city, like most people that i met last year, i think you are making a mistake. because you can always visit nyc from boston and you can ultimately move there. i am pretty sure recruiter for jobs also look around the boston area as well as nyc.

by the way congrats on BC, esp since so few people were accepted. i was really shocked by that.

i hope what i said helped.
