BC vs USC

So I've gotten accepted so BC (Carroll School of Management) and USC (Marshall School of Business). Given that BC and USC are pretty comparable academically (Businessweek has BC's business school at #6 and USC's at #36, but they're both equally well-known and prestigious), it has been a difficult decision for me to make. Boston College boasts a beautiful campus, excellent proximity to Boston (while maintaining a campus-like feel), and much more. On the flip side, USC boasts a lot of the same things--the weather is nicer, too!

Ultimately, for me, since the schools have so many things going for them both, what are the schools like socially? I've heard that USC is diverse and easygoing while BC can be preppy and a bit snobby (a lot of people insist that BC isn't actually snobby at all and that the kids are actually quite down to earth). What school offers the most fun? Does USC have a lot nicer people? Does BC have a lot more extracurricular activities to get involved in? Does USC have more fun events to go to outside of school?

Thank you for your input!

Bump. I’d really appreciate a response.

You’re not getting answers because they are impossible questions. Unless you’ve attended both schools how can anyone possibly tell you what the social life is like at both school? Which one offers the most fun? How do we know? What’s your idea of fun? How much is too much? Nicer people? What’s your definition of nice? More fun events outside of school? Again what’s your idea of fun?

BC is a school who’s student population breakdown matches up very closely with the US national averages. It’s located in the best college city in America. There is no Greek community at BC. USC is one of the most diverse student populations in the US. There is a moderate Greek influence. It is in a major world city with the entertainment options that Southern California offers. Only you can decide what you prefer.

more diversity at usc and much better weather.
