So I applied regular to the College of Charleston and I was just wondering what my admission chances would be. I already got denied from my first choice (Emmanuel College) and I don’t want to get worked up like I did last time only to get my hopes crushed. My stats are:
Gpa: 2.8-3.0
A lot of extracurriculars including a job all four years of highschool, four year varsity athlete, community service and clubs.
Decent essay
23 on the act and 1520 out of 2400 on my SATs
Out of state (NJ)
Thanks!
hello?
Your GPA and ACT scores will most likely prevent you from being accepted . 50 th percentile for OOS students is 3.339 and 3.981 and 50th percentile of ACT scores is 24-29. Your chances for admission are low. At most colleges, they assess a student’s probability of successfully graduating from their program. While ECs are commendable , they weigh the academic portion of the application more heavily to assess that probability.
