Hi,

I am going to the Bearfacts Orientation for transfer students on sept. 2. For those of you who have already gone to the orientation this friday, what was the earliest time you could leave the orientation? I read in another thread that you register for classes before lunch (12:30), and that you could leave after lunch unless you want to get your student id. I am making travel arrangements to the orientation from the SF bay area and want to know if I have enough time to make it back before the day ends.

You will want to take your picture for your ID card after you register for your classes.

On the safe side I would say at least give yourself until 2. I’m sure if you really had to you could leave whenever you needed to but since you’re already down here I’d try and give yourself a little extra time to maybe check out the campus a bit.

I left around 1:45 (right after I finished registering for classes), but only because I had a plane flight to catch (I also live in the bay area). If you really need to leave that early, make you you tell your orientation counselor, and they will make the necessary arrangements. If you do leave before you take your picture ID, you can take it when you arrive at the university!
