How was Bear Facts Orientation??

What did you guys do? I know that freshman are going to register for classes at orientation. Are most of the classes full by now? My Bear Facts orientation is in Aug. 14th. It's the last session, so I assume most classes would be full by then. Do you think ALL the classes would be full? I want to change it but I think it's too late. My cousin said that all the classes will be full by August so that's why I wanted to change the dates. Anyways, was the Bear Facts Orientation fun?!

IMO the bear facts orientation was very fun. I especially enjoyed the PLAYFAIR. Actually… i had too much fun that i havent slept and played all night with new people i met. Regarding classes… even though i was at the first one ENGL001C was not available which i thought was bs. My guess is that your major class and couple breath classes will be available for sure. not sure about math and english

oh that sounds like fun! What else did you guys do? How were the dorms?
Oh so I assume most english classes are full? Well I’m going to take English1A, and I think that’s where most Freshman are in so I think it’ll still be open.

When you first get there you will be put into a group with a counselor and it is by major. You will do most activity in this group

I still have the orientation schedule so ill list the stuff you get to do

Welcome&Kick Off
Introduction to College
PLAYFAIR
Eat at the HUB
Student Organization and Resource expo (clubs have booths set up and you can go talk to them)
Social Activies
Dance

Day 2:
You basically learn about the classes you need to take and what is expected from your major. Also you will be taking your ID picture and learn about on campus or off campus housing

You get to live in the Pentland dorms. Compared to East Lothian dorms which i lived in SUHP, Pentland was cleaner and private. You dont have to worry about someone peeking or opening the doors of the bathroom lol. Ive heard that beds are hard but i dunno because i havent slept on them.
Overall i think you’ll have fun. I did not know anyone when i got there but i met hundreds of cool new people and befriended many of them.

What time does it start and end as in time.

starts at 9 am and ends at 5:30pm the next day

when it ends, i suggest leaving quickly. i left around 5:20 to turn in the keys and i had to wait in line for over an hour

It’s fun overall, but I bet anyone that if they had to repeat it, they wouldn’t want to, it gets very tiring

wow its an hour to turn in the key man I wont get home till 9 pm then

just try to get to line early lol

will my advisor verify my ap score if i bring it with me?

They already got your scores

i didn’t take tests this year

Then take the copy of ur report and u ll be good

thanks

10char

They only want sealed scores though, so be careful. They also accept phone reports as long as the advisor’s there to listen

sealed? what do you mean by this?

means “official” but you dont have to worry about it. they have your scores

lol…no they don’t have my scores cuz i didn’t take tests this year…that’s why i’m asking…haha official as in…i take the actual paper my score came on right?

btw thanks guys…sorry…panicking kinda cuz i didn’t send them in either…

Like, closed

I brought mine but they’d already been opened, and the advisor was like, ummmm…

dunno
I don’t imagine why that would be a big issue, although I ended up using a phone report, since the current year scores were the only ones important to me
