Beat Sc!

ahhahah that would be sick

halftime 21-10.....

its ok.. defense is playn better now

dwayne jarret is doing double moves on everyone of his routes..... lets go

my dad is freakn out about and ND... and is blaring " that number 5 can't catch the (bleep)ing ball" -cant argue with him

lets go

ok halftime is over

Sad ending

we couldn't catch the ****ing ball....... (in an angry tone)

I hear ya, but the better team won. I still think we go to a BCS bowl (which a lot of baby ND fans hate on the other message boards) and I think we should want that. So many of these fans are saying we should go to the Gator bowl so that we have a better chance of winning a bowl game. That is not what ND is about! We should go to the best bowl we can and want to. Throughout the years that is what ND did. When MSU was awesome and no one would play them, we would. People forget that.

so true Mike.....

I dont know what our options would be

maybe rose bowl... but that would be a mich- nd rematch.....
not fiesta.... cuz boise state has that

Honestly, I think we are competing with LSU and Louisville for the last at large bid......

I still think we will get it cuz honestly.. who draws more fans.. tv ratings louisvilee or Notre Dame??

Mike... what board is that that you were talking about?

anyone else think that charlie weis dressed like a bum? oversized sweatshirt and jogging warm-up pants?

classy.

hahaha i liked that.... he was taking after belichick.. haha Bill always dresses wierd...

and I see that you are a USC guy,,, so instead of making fun of our coach why dont you go back to LA and lose to Oregon State again... K bye

As much as I hate it, we may have a rematch with Michigan. Does anyone really think the Rose Bowl will pass us up?

I want BCS, but if we slip to Gator Bowl (won't happen, hypothetical), then it would be ****in sweet to play Boston College before we lose our seniors.

ya... kirk said last night in his predictions that we would go to rose bowl to face michigan!..... as a pac ten fan.... I luv the rose bowl and its an amazing place to play a game ( and watch for that matter)

the boston college thing would be nice.. but i think we deserve BCS

I think I'll ask for a trip to Pasadena for Christmas.... ahh nothing better than that

nice to see that people can remain so cheerful after a blowout...

was that sarcastic??

If you look at fatcow3's posts you will find that this is not something uncommon and he has posted several times in this thread. Pay him no heed; if he needs the attention this badly the least we can do for him is give it to him as it may help his self esteem. I am guessing that is the motivation, but who am I to say, I just study Psychology.

i just like to see the discussion and see what you guys thought of the game, was quite intrigued by the level of optimisim and entertained by the misguided belief that ND actually had a chance before the game considering last year's game was close due to the height of the grasss at ND stadium

haah funny one Irish....

honestly .. this is a message board for knowledge searching highschool and current college students........

You must not have a life at all... if you come on here just to get a laugh or just to make idiotic comments like your last......

I don't know that you genuinely ask that, so I don't know how much I will answer. There were reasons to be optimistic, we had a lot of opportunities but didn't execute. We had the ball three times inside the USC 50 and didn't score, one time on the 5 but Walker fumbled. If we execute and don't drop some of those third and fourth down passes we have a lead at half and the whole dynamic of the game changes.

The score didn't look pretty but if you take out the onside for a touchdown (which wouldn't have been needed if we had executed) then we were only 14 away despite all of the missed opportunities and the fumble on the 5.

You may view yourself as the vastly superior team, and if you do, I would encourage you to not watch the USC vs OSU game because no one is better than OSU this year. That being said, this game was not as much of a blowout as you think, and I think a lot of educated, reasonable football people know that. You apparently do not as you are coming on a Notre Dame academic forum to brag about it. If this was Rivals, where I am a member, I could see it a bit, but not so much here. Maybe it is a California thing, because Sagabruin did the same thing...at least until we beat UCLA.

alright, sarcasm aside, which players left ND after last year? the team truly changed quite a bit,

We lost a few linemen, Fasano at TE hurt (we have a great one in Carlson but remember he was hurt...he would have made a difference). Those are the main losses. The line has been weak all year, and was once again, so we just haven't been able to get a running game going. If you can't run in college football, it is going to be very hard to beat the teams that are more talented than you, and USC is more talented than us right now. That is slowly changing with Weis' recruiting, but Ty didn't leave us in the best position.

fasano is doing quite well in the resurging cowboys, Ty did get quinn and semardja didnt he?

He got Quinn on accident. Stop trying to be smart. Also, Samardzija didn't play under Ty. Go look at the stats, I'd bet it was less than 10 plays in Ty's entire tenure.
