<p>Which admissions books have you read that you recommend or find useful?</p>
<p>I've read "A Is For Admission" which at least told me about Academic Index... but I felt that despite being published around 2000, it is still out of date (especially when she mentioned Harvard's Early Decision process!) haha. Plus- days when University of Pennsylvania had admit rates of just under 30%? No way!</p>
<p>I read "A is for Admission" cover-to-cover when I first started my college search. Later, when I actually started applying, I found it did not help me much. Best of luck finding a good admissions book...I never could.</p>
<p>Did you try any of those "how to write the most utterly fantastic, amazing, glorious college essay ever" books? I worry that those books actually cause more cliched essays...</p>
