Is it possible to get a PT aide job in high school? I keep hearing that "Generally" PT aides have a high school diploma. I want to become one because I want to become a physical therapist and have been wanting to for a couple years now. Being an aide would be fun, allow me to be in the PT environment, observe the job, and get paid. Or what about an internship? I only hear about people doing internships during college but I would like to internship now. Does internshiping have requirements like a high school diploma? Thanks guys!

I don’t know about being a PT Aide, but I know a couple people who have internships. Some are at my school with our trainers, and others are at actually physical therapy places. Basically they got the internships by being injured and spending a lot of time at PT. Then (at least for the ones who do theirs at school), they just kept hanging out in the training rooms and offices helping out because they picked up a lot while they were injured when they had to wait for other people before they could have their PT, so eventually they just asked the trainers if they could make it an official internship, and they were all for it. So if you don’t have something like that at school, I would recommend sending some emails to places around town to see if they’re interested. It really helps if you know someone though.
