Does anyone have recommendations for unpaid internships, camps, or even just volunteer work in a physical therapy setting? Would it be wise to ask physical therapy offices nearby if they would let me shadow for a while or is that just unrealistic? Thanks!
Does your school have athletic training? Athletic training directly corresponds with physical therapy. At my school you learn simple first aid, get CPR certified, and then learn about specific injuries and how to help them. Rolling out, wrapping, ice, biofreeze, etc
Definitely ask some PT offices around you for volunteer hours or an internship, even if you just answer the phones it’ll look good on applications. Good luck.
