Bed Bugs in College?

There's been somewhat of a "bed bug hysteria" going around.

<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/31/science/31bedbug.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/31/science/31bedbug.html</a></p>

What colleges have had issues with bed bugs? I know it's unpleasant (/gross/disgusting/horrifying/sickening, etc) to discuss, but I think it's important for the information to be shared.

I've heard that Columbia University has had trouble with bed bugs recently, as with NYU. (New York in general has been in a bed bug frenzy.) Where else?

Yeah, I’ve heard about the NY schools too :frowning: Nasty nasty… I’m paranoid of bedbugs. But they spread easily in places like dorms, where people are always moving around and sharing clothes, space, etc… and especially in places with a lot of international influence.

Wesleyan University has a Bed Bug Protocol on their website too.

This sounds bad.

What’s that supposed to mean?

No need to invoke international students to explain the presence of bed bugs. Americans have an abundant supply of them all on their own.

agree with you Ramocito… must be referring to the Hindu religion that advocates not killing anything living… well, that’t the only lifeline I could think of.

Um, every college that I know of, has a bed bug protocol. It would be pretty irresponsible not to:

^^Even Buddhism is against killing of any living being. :)

I heard Hofstra had a bed bug issue
