anybody buying the bed linens and blanket package? Anyone know if the blankets are thick enough for the Vermont winters? I know there's heating in the dorms, but do we need really thick blankets anyway?

Last year I was happy with the heater set to a comfortable room temperature, a down comforter, and pajamas. True, the rooms are heated, but I wouldn't recommend sleeping on a January night in shorts and a t-shirt under a thin blanket, unless you like sleeping in a cooler temperature.

I already bought it, didn't even think!

Then I got all these brochures of coloured blankets and sheets in navy and pastel that I good have bought instead, I jumped the gun a bit I think.

It really depends on you--and maybe what dorm you're in/what side of it? I like my sleeping environment a little on the cool side, so I never once turned on my heat all year, and most of the time, except on the coldest nights/days, I left my window cracked a bit. I just had a standard sheet, middle-blanket thing, and comforter.
