From NJ, applied to 7 out of state schools all on the west coast, accepted to 6, visited top 3 over spring break.

Problem?
I want to stay home.
Now im in a mad dash to find if any schools near me are still accepting applications. I am in Northern NJ. Anything come to mind? I never pictured myself in a community college, but is that my only option?
3.84 weighted GPA, 1130 SAT, 43/364 class rank, great ec's, great essays
I just don't want the last 4 years of working hard to be for nothing. I thought I had it all figured out but I just changed my mind. I want to get out of the house and town, can't stand the family, but I still want to stick around in the area near it. I'm doomed.

I am also looking to Major in ZOOLOGY, but aren't first year courses basic core courses that have nothing to do with the major? Maybe I can transfer out next year to a university here. NOT Rutgers.

I know I want to stay here, it's just a panic attack on what I will have to do in a short amount of time. I have been thinking for a while that I might stay.

i'm from ny, applied to 6 cali schools and will be heading to the west coast come summer. (though what school, still not sure.) are you sure you don't like the west coast? what schools did you get into?

I didnt' not like the west coast, I just like it here better. I visited Oregon State, Portland State and San Francisco State, and liked Portland state overall.

sorry, in that case i'm not sure what schools are still accepting apps. one/two years of community college and then transferring could work, if you want to do that. you could ask at the parents forum maybe about anyone who's had experience with community colleges. g/L!

just go. i want to be in the westcoast. only school i applied there is stanford and didnt get in. sad. yeah. tears. okay. so u got options. it is FINE to leave home! i cant wait to leave and experience the world
