been out of college for a year how do i get a letter of rec from a proff?

<p>I have been out of college for a year, in 2011-2012 i got a letter of rec from a proff but i doubt i can ask her for it again because she probably wont even remember me since in was the fall of 2011. anyone know how i can get a rec from a professor? can i try to get the letter of rec from colleges that i applied to as a transfer from 2011-2012? can i a school that i sent the rec to fax it to another school for me>>?</p>

<p>The prof may have the LOR on a file and be able to print it off and send it again.</p>

<p>No, a college will neither give you the LOR you submitted nor forward it on to another school.</p>

<p>If this prof wrote you a letter before, they probably still have it on file. Email and start with something like,</p>

<p>Professor X - I don’t know if you remember me, but back in Fall 2011 you wrote a reference letter for me for blah, blah. I need a reference again for “X - whatever you need it for”, and was wondering if you could please provide a letter again for me. <insert info="" on="" current="" status="" plans="" if="" it="" makes="" sense="" here.=""> </insert></p>

<p>You can’t ask for references from profs at a school you haven’t even attended yet. And it is also not appropriate to ask them to forward a previous reference. So keep this in mind whenever you start a new job or when you start school in the fall to build good relationships with supervisors/professors so you have more recent references when you need them in the future.</p>

<p>ok i emailed the proff yesterday, still havnt got a response i am getting worried bcuz the deadline for U michigan is OCT 1 !?!?!??!? wut to do??</p>

<p>any ideas??? wait till friday??? call on friday? this is the only rec that i have and can get BTW other than high school recs that i have.</p>

<p>Woot the profff emailed me today and said she would fill out a new one!!!</p>
