I have 2 professors that I am pretty sure will write me letter of recommendation but I want to use them to apply to 2 different schools, should I just ask them for a few copies? what is the proper way to go about this?

good question.

Assemble the pertinent LOR information from each school's website or gather copies (as many as you need) of the common app LOR section.

Put everything in a folder with stamped envelopes addressed to each school.

Tell your professor that you are applying to transfer and let him know which schools you're applying to. Ask him if he's willing to write you a letter of recommendation. If he says 'yes,' then hand him the folder.

Read TRansfer Admissions 101 (sticky thread)- lots of this is covered there.

Caillebotte pretty much covers it. You typically do not "get" the rec letters from your profs. You ask them to write recommendations for you and provide them the envelopes/forms for sending them directly to the school(s). Profs will be fine with sending the letters to multiple schools - they will typically do their rec in a Word file and print it out and attach to form/put in envelope as required.
