Been really struggling second term senior year

So, I've been thinking about the option of transferring into a big league school (MIT number one choice) as soon as possible so I know my high school transcript will carry some weight. However, there is one class, differential equations that is really killing me. It's not even senioritis its just that the tests I get have been really unreasonable. My average is probably around a 70 right now and I'm afraid of this class completely ruining my transfer chances even if I put on a stellar performance in college. I don't have many oppurtunities to raise my grade, especially now that the tests are getting harder. The thing is, I'm pretty good at math, like I scored a 6 on the AIME this year so I'm really afraid of the impact this class will have. One thing I know is that I'll retake differential equations in college because I feel like the way the class is taught now is poor. How bad can this senior year class screw me up? Do I have to completely keep up my grades or can I have a small drop because I've been doing a bit worse in other classes. Thanks!

If you don’t do well in this one class its not the end of the world. When transferring, colleges will look at your college transcripts with about equal weight even if you are a freshman applying to transfer. In addition, if you were to retake diff eq in college and do better it would be great; it would probably nullify your C or whatever it is currently. Just do well your freshman year of college and you’ll be fine.
