Beginning to regret opening

I started off my Common App essay describing a scene from an old TV series. It was maybe 100 out of 500 words and was meant as an analogy to my situation (why I'm tranferring). I'm starting to wonder if a -T.V.- scene wasn't the way to go. Opinions? Maybe reassurance?

its ok…

As long as it is well-written, interesting, and actually has a connection to your situation you should be fine. It is beneficial to have a unique intro and makes it more memorable. Either way, if your apps are already submitted, there’s nothing you can do now except wait.

^^ Haha, true. The wait is just making me reflect on things I could have done differently, to echo other threads on CC.
