Being a Teacher Aide Junior Year...

Hey guys, im a sophomore in HS right now, and lemme start of by saying i LOVE this site. I've been following for about 2 months or so.

Anyway, today we began selected courses for the next school year. Keep in mind my goal is to go to a UC after High school.

So far here is what ive chosen and i am completely eligible for all of these courses:

AP Lang
AP Calculus AB
APUSH
Physics CP(My school doesn't have a physics honors course :(. Disappointing)
Spanish III

Now my dilemma is that I'd also like to be a Teacher Aide this next year as well. My Alg 2/Trig teacher last year welcomed me to be his Teacher Aide, saying that he'd let me. My problem is that I read a registration manual that the school gave us, and I read that the Teacher Aide course is not UC applicable.

The biggest problem though, for me, is, will colleges see that Teacher Aide class on my transcript and reject me? Is taking this Teacher Aide course a good idea?

Thanks for the input guys!

everyone at my school takes a proctor period so they have time to do massive amounts of homework, unless they’re insane or naive (like me).

take it. UCs won’t care.

It’s not UC transferable because it’s not an academic course (i.e. within the A-G requirements). When you submit your application, they will not see you even took the course. It would definitely not hurt you if you decided to take it; your schedule seems rigorous enough in my opinion.
