Being born in a different country

I was born in Germany, and speak german at home, despite only living there for a year. Will I be considered to add 'diversity' to a school that i apply to?
In other words, does being foreign, even though still european, and speaking another language help / improve my chances?

If you can write that in your personal statement and write how that makes you unique, then yes. Don't push it too much though. There aren't that many White immigrants in the US in the current day, and that can add perspective to you.
