Belmont school of music audition experience??

Does anyone have any experience with auditioning for Belmont University's school of music? I'll be auditioning for the commercial voice major and I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience from that. I'm sort of nervous because even though I'm pretty solid on my prepared pieces I feel like they're going to ask me many questions I'm not prepared for...also, my music activities list isn't very long and many of them are from before I started at my community college..

Hi – I don’t know specifically for Belmont, but my son auditioned for Berklee last year, which we have seen often compared to Belmont. His/my advice is to just be confident and focus on what you do best: your music. Honestly, these folks are truly interested in your unique perspective. They want to hear you and evaluate what your potential is.
His music activities (as a guitarist) are not what someone from a big city would be – we live out in the middle of nowhere and we homeschool. His experience was that they were interested in his music, first and foremost. He even shared with them his desire to be more a part of a music scene, hence his decision to leave this area.
They seemed much more about how they connected with him than in specific “checkmarks” of did he do this or do that.
Just be yourself and see how well you fit! Break a leg!!!
