So I'm going into my sophomore year at Bentley University, I have a lot of friends there and really like it. I'm majoring in Marketing with an LSM in Media Arts and Society, and have had two internships already so far. Here's my problem: my dream has always been to work in the music business, specifically country music. Being a realist, I always ignored that dream and thought I would go to bentley and get a more broad degree and then try to pursue the music business thing after college. Well, while searching for boston internships I've learned that the music business scene there is virtually non existant, and country music is literally non existant. I know the music industry is all about who you know, and I don't see how I could ever make it there if I don't network now. SO basically I'm trying to figure out if I should transfer to belmont curb school of music business? I'm not religous and I do enjoy going out and partying on the weekends so I don't know if belmont would be the right fit for me. But that being said country music is my entire world, and I love nashville. Advice from belmont attendees would be greatly appreciated or people who are in the music business.
