Of my list of 23, I think it will come down to these three (I'm still waiting on 3 more schools.) Any helpul info would be appreciated, especially pertaining to social life, academics, general atmosphere, students, etc.

I'm interested in anthropology and languages. Study abroad and int'l outlook are important.

In general, friendly, witty students with a sense of humor would be the ones I'd hang out with.

They’re very similar schools. DS applied to Beloit and Knox and we visited Wooster. Beloit would have the edge in Anthropology and it has some sort of special language programs i the summer. It looks like Wooster is weakest in terms of languages but I had the impression of it being the “academic” of the schools. Knox actually has a Japan term. Otherwise, I don’t see much difference in the study abroad programs. I know that Knox is on a trimester program where the other two are on regular semesters. You might take a look at their event calendars to see what sort of programs/entertainment they offer. Ultimately, I don’t think you can wrong with any of them.

My DD is freshman at Wooster. Her original major was Anthropology and Spanish (double). She loves the Spanish classes but is reconsidering her interest in Anthropology. Study Abroad was very important to her, as well as the Sr. IS program. She loves the intl focus and diversity. I can put you in touch with her if you PM me!

I’d be interested if anyone else has anything to add to this. I’m also curious about Lawrence and Kalamazoo.
