Benefits of being multilingual?

I was wondering if putting multiple languages I speak would be helpful on my resume. I speak the following fluently:

Gujarati (spoken in North Western India)

Hindi (spoken throughout India)

Spanish (obviously, very common)

Sign Language (does this count as a language?)

Feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Good question. Subscribed.

I definitely think so … I know one girl who speaks Yiddish, and used it as an essay topic. Got into great schools. Sign language does count.

Mention your language skills in your CV, it’ll certainly help.

CV? Sorry, still getting familiar with the college application process.

CV = resume

It depends on the schools. My d speaks Spanish and French fluently, has taken Hebrew (4 years) and Arabic as well as Latin and ASL. She had a 2340 on her SAT, 4.6 W GPA, 4.0UW, salutatorian in her IB class. She was denied or waitlisted at Brown, Columbia and Penn. Luckily, she had wonderful choices and is going to a school that is a great fit that wanted her.
