Benjamin Franklin Scholar Program

I have the letter right here…
basically is an invitation to confirm acceptance to the program. Deadline to accept by sending the included form is May 8th.

vladsinger, were you accepted ED or RD? When did you get the letter?

Thank you.

I was accepted RD and got the letter last Sunday (4/02).

lol “TalibanDad”…why not “I_■■■■■”? Or, is that one already taken?

vladsinger,
did the letter comes with your package or an individual letter?

What? TalibanDad’s post disappeared lol…

I got my JWS/BFS in an email today?
What April 13th date are you talking about because my email just had a long intro about what JWS/BFS encompassed and the senior grad requirement, and an attached acceptance form, but nothing on an actual date to visit?

NJBKitty - why were you leaning towards Cornell? Where are you from?

hey…i am from India and i got an email invite for JWS~BFS today…could someone please explain these programs? how many people are invited, what vistas open up, are there study abroad opportunites?? lots of questions…

Someone search the archives/my old posts. I’ve written about BFS/JWS like 3000 times before. - maybe i’ll find what I wrote and paste it again.

It tends to be RD only, as it’s partly a recruitment tool and there’s no need to recruit ED people. Of course, as soon as I say this some ED person pops up and tells me they’re BFS.

I’m from NYC, and I’ve been leaning more towards Cornell because I think I like the more rural campus. I’m visiting both schools in the coming week, though, so hopefully I’ll get a better picture of which school I’ll really feel more comfortable in.

I’m sorry for bringing this mummy thread back to life but there lies an unanswered question here that I care a lot about --what is jws and what does it entail. No regurgitating letter please.
