Bentley or NorthEastern

Which one has better career placement Bentley or NorthEastern in Finance/Economics field? Which one to pick for an UnderGrad program? Who has a better reputation?

I can’t speak for Northeastern, but every ranking service that I have seen ranks most, if not all, of Bentley’s programs much higher than that of Northeastern. However, with that said, they are VERY different schools with differing cultures.

Bentley is a small business school /LAC that has both strong liberal arts offerings and strong programs in business, finance and accounting. Northeastern is MUCH bigger and has the offerings of a large university with many more majors. They really are very different institutions.

Although Northeastern is known for its coop/internship program, Many kids at Bentley, especially in accounting and finance, can and do get internships.

I can only suggest that you see both of them. Bentley may be the better school academically, but it might not be a good fit for you having only business oriented majors and being so much smaller than Northeastern.

I agree with taxguy, academics are lead by Bentley. I have been to both schools and they are very different. One is very urban (was a boston commuter school long ago) and one is out in the burbs. Both have access to downtown. Bentley is very business focused.

If I were choosing, I like the support of Bentley for academics and the campus.

Omg, I’m in the exact same dilemma, I can’t choose between the two! NEU’s co-op does sound so good, but I also know that Bentley internship program is pretty good as well.

I think I might end up choosing Bentley because it’s ALOT cheaper than NEU for me.

Regarding your question, Northeastern is better known than Bentley, and it just passed them in the US News top business schools rank. Northeastern is ranked #1 in job placement and it is an urban campus, while Bentley is a smaller school but more business oriented.

I would choose Northeastern because they are more nationally well known and the co-op is just outstanding!

keep in mind that if u go to northeastern it’s a 5-year commitment, cuz of 1 year of co-op
