Berkeley Application Questions?

So, I’m filling out the app for Berkeley and I’m on the part about Activities and Awards. I have a number of questions:

  1. I've had a "job" since the 6th grade. Basically, I worked at my parents restaurant from 4-8:30ish on school nights and 10:30-9:30 on weekends and the summer. I'm not paid at all, so does this go under the Community Service area or the Work Experience area. I know that they ask you what you do with your earned income, but I have not made any money.
  2. Another problem with the Community Service section is that because of my "job" I haven't volunteered extensively. I have been a part of Student Council and in it we do Trick or Treat for Kids, Senior Citizens Thanksgiving, and a bunch of other community service events. The problem I have is that the text box doesn't really give you that many words. I'm afraid that listing those events will be meaningless because the reviewers of my application won't know exactly what those activities entailed. Also, would it be Community Service or Extracurricular?
  3. I am also part of NHS and we do volunteer work as well. Does this go under Community Service or Extracurricular. I don't think that it'd be smart to list it in both areas, since it's one thing.

I guess I am just confused because a lot of my extracurriculars overlap with community service. Even DECA, Debate, and the things listed above all have a community service component. In DECA we host community events like cleaning up the streets and other stuff, while in Debate we’ve gone to the nursing home to help out the elderly.
