Berkeley Computer Science EECS vs LAS CS

Is there any difference in the material, instructors, difficulty of core computer science classes? Are there any advantages/disadvantages in recruiting/job opportunities?

From [Degree Programs | EECS at UC Berkeley](http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/education/degrees.shtml) :

All the core CS classes are the same. It’s what you take besides them that is different.

For info on job opportunities:
L&S CS: [Career Center - What Can I Do With a Major In…?](http://career.berkeley.edu/Major/CompSci.stm)
EECS: [Career Center - What Can I Do With a Major In…?](http://career.berkeley.edu/Major/EECS.stm)

No difference in core material, you take the same CS classes as EECS. Pretty much the only difference is that for the requirements, you have to take more humanities for CS than for EECS, which is more math and physics. CS is probably more flexible for a double major as well, I know many people who double up with math/econ/physics.

As far as I know, there is no disadvantage in terms of job opportunities.
