Berkeley EECS Accepted: Post Stats Here

I’m currently a junior and plan to apply to Berkeley EECS this upcoming year. To help alleviate some stress for not only myself but for other juniors out there, could those accepted by Berkeley EECS please post stats here (GPA, SAT, SAT II, ECs)?

Thanks, I appreciate it greatly.

it would be easier to know that and you would get more opinions if you post your own stats.

i don't know if EECS cares so much about stats, as much as extracurrics

nbanyk, in general, i'd say the coe prefers those with higher stats vs. extracirriculars

having the ability to play the piano isnt going to help you build a bridge

yeah i know what you mean- i think you do need very good grades

however, when i was looking at the page that showed stats for people who got into coe it showed people with high sat (1500+) getting rejected and people with like 1300 getting accepted for some strange reason or another

i don't know, maybe i just randomly saw some lower sats out of a batch of mainly high sats

personal statement and ec's are important. i don't think they would accept someone that just studies all day and do nothing else.

My stats are pretty low compared to the average for EECS. But at least I can give you some hope in showing that it's not impossible if you're a slightly weaker candidate.

~4.4 UC GPA (Ranked 30 out of 600 or so)

SATs
570V/710M
570V/660M
660V/670M

SATII
690W/700USH/740Math2C

I think I'm just slightly above average for EECS. Then again, I got into Caltech. GO BEARS!

4.0 UW/4.5 UC GPA...Top 4% from small competitive private school in Bay Area

SAT I: 800 M / 740 V
SAT II: 800 PHYS, 800 M2C, 750 WRIT

PM me for extra-cirriculars. I've done loads...Over 2500 community service hours.

Hope it helps

isn't it difficult to get a job with eecs now?

Rejected by all but Berkeley

SAT1 800M/610V (ESL)
SAT2 800Phyisics,800M2C,610WR
APs 5PhysicsB,5PhysicsC M,5 PhysicsC E&M,

Engineering is my fast track to money. Astrophysics is my real target.
Guess what, Berkeley is ranked third for Astronomy(behind Caltech and Princeton, quite atonished MIT is not in top 5). But Berkeley is ranked first for Maths and Chem. So it is actually the best choice possible for people who want to do scientific stuffs. Yeah, GO BEARS !!!!!

I think mine are pretty low too.

SAT1 740M/590V
SAT2 760Physics/800Chinese/570W/780IIC
GPA: 3.83/4.18 (Rank : 126/800)
AP's: Chem, Calc BC, Physics B all 5

However, my sister did have cancer, that's why we moved to CA from Taiwan.

Transfering to Berkeley from Pasadena City College,

Major: EECS & Materials Science and Engineering
GPA: 3.95

don't need SAT's to apply as a transfer, but I got a 690 on english and 780 on math
