Berkeley EECS Minimum GPA

Hello, I’m a Junior in Highschool and currently attending my local community college at night. I’m taking 11 units there and have pretty much laid out all my classes to get into Cal as a transfer student.

With that said, I want to study electrical engineering there. My GPA right now is a 4.0 (with 13 units done), but is likely to drop to a 3.86 (with 24 completed units) after this semester (damn english). This got me a little bit worried because I know that competition for transferring to EECS is harsh. What is the absolute minimum GPA I can get to have a good shot in getting in? What GPA will almost guarantee my acceptance into the school?

Hopefully I will be done with my 60 transferrable units after 1 semester out of high school. I’ll be starting as a Junior when the rest of the kids my age will still be freshman. W00T!

From the College of Engineering brochure distributed at the open house yesterday:

Average GPA among high-school students: 4.42 weighted
" " among transfer students: 3.80 / 4.0

damn. ill be praying a lot this next year
