Berkeley Engineering

I got into USC & Berkeley and was wondering where I'd get better instruction in Mechanical Engineering. I know both undergraduate schools are relatively lesser ranked than their graduate schools.

I am looking for a college in which professors are accessible, and classes are small to an extent.

I like USC's environment better, but was wondering whether the education at Berkeley is a whole lot better than that of USC.

And lastly, starting salary is important =D

well berkeley's number 2 (not sure what usc is): <a href="http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/enps10_brief.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/enps10_brief.php</a>
the lower div classes are generally pretty large at berkeley for mechE, but the profs are definitely accessible. can't really comment on usc
