Yes.

Lol, you guys are hilarious. A seemingly harmless post about visible asian-americans in the media turns into an all-out 4-page flamewar. I almost went to Berkeley and I was so psyched for this legendary Berkeley-Stanford rivalry I'm seeing right now. Looks like fun!

Wow, California1600 and rooster08, I have nothing against both schools, but I think you're taking your school pride thing a bit too far. I mean, I love school pride and such but going this far? 4 pages of posts just over which school has the best opportunities for Asians? I think it's clear that both give ample opportunities for success, and in any matter, it's not the institution which brings a person success - it's the individual's own effort that makes them who they are.

What can I say? School's out and I am bored. Plus I've hated Berkeley ever since a bunch of morons from Cal spray painted my bike in blue and yellow and taco-ed my front wheel. Vandalism before the Big Game really sucks.

Berkeley people do that kind of stuff? There's only one word for it--jealousy.

Just cause they got rejected from Stanford it doesn't justify that kind of stupid vandalism.

^^ LOL!

Man, how parochial. The Berkeley/Stanfurd rivalry goes back years, even to the days when Stanfurd was just a community college. It could have easily been an alumni of the 70/80's from Berkeley who just looks down upon Stanfurd grads.

That would show the low quality of Berkeley alumni. Trashing a student's bike is totally uncool. What if rooster couldn't get to class on time or what if he was really poor and couldn't afford a new one. College students don't usually have tons of disposable income.

Any way you look at it, Berkeley students engaing in thoughtless vandalism only tarnishes the reputation of the school. Trashing a student's bike goes too far.

^ Sure I agree that does suck to get ones bike trashed. But that is strange because the Big Game was held in Berkeley this year, so how did roosters bike in Palo Alto get messed up?

And if it really happened, then I guess I may have been insensitive about it. I would like to apologize on behalf of the entire state of California on trashing Rooster's Bike. However, an optimist may enjoy the free fresh new layer of paint that now embellishes his lovely bicycle.

Actually a bunch of Berkeley kids came on campus and trashed our bikes as a prank. The Berkeley Band also woke us all up at about 4 in the morning. I think it will REALLY suck next year when the Big Game is held on campus.
