I was wondering if those who got invited to interview for the regents scholarship get anything if they don’t get the regent’s scholarship. Do they get any other financial aid rewards for being one of the 2000 who were invited, or do they get nothing at all? Also, how competitive is it? I know 2000 are invited and only 200 become scholars, but that doesn’t account for how many that won but denied the offer.
First of all, not all of the 2,000 early admits this year were invited for Regents.
Secondly, about half of the invitees were accepted as Regents based on last year.
Lastly, if you weren’t selected as Regents, you got nothing.
Fill out your FAFSA and if you have need you will get financial aid.
…unless you are OOS, then you are out of luck. UCs are no longer allowed to offer FA to OOS admits.
