Berkeley Spring 2007

Undecided: I think "Cardinalfocused" is an English major also, but s/he's probably waiting for Stanford still...but yeah, we shall meet up for sure if I DOdecide on Cal. Have you sent in your SIR already? Will you be living on campus?

EE_stu: Congratulations to you as well! If the time of graduation is your only reason for choosing UCLA over UC Berkeley, keep in mind that you can take classes in the summer to catch up and graduate on time. I don't know much about the EE/EECS ordeal, though. I'm really torn myself...I was totally set on UCLA, but now the academic reputation of Berkeley is alluring me.

Yep, sent in my SIR already. That'd be awesome if CardinalFocused came as well. Time to gather the English majors...

I am not sure whether I'm living on campus or not. I figure I've got about 5 months before I need to submit a housing application, so I have time to think about it. I do believe I'm going to try and live OFF campus, though; it tends to be cheaper, and also a lot more... homey. Plus I've avoided the dorm experience so far, why start now? Hah.

The FAQ for spring admits says we should be able to graduate on time, but I'm pretty sure that's only if you decide to take NOTHING but your major classes, and take high units one or two semesters.

Jeez, why don't you guys post on the sweet English majors thread we just made!

also, on a geeky sidenote: undecided, your profile says you go to RCC. Are you aware that RCC is home to the sweetest drumline in the history of creation?

hey guys im in for spring 07 too... my plan is to take 2 courses over the summer so that i can still graduate in 2 years. what are your majors? im an econ major thinking of doubling up in math.

Why do some people got for Spring 07 and some for Fall 06 (UCB)
I have Fall 06

because there were too many qualified applicants to accept them all for the Fall.

I'll probably take a couple classes in the fall to reach 70 units and find an internship/job.

Or some people have too many work-in-progress planned for summer.

wildebeest: Yes, because they practice every Tuesday and Thursday night outside of my last class. ^^ Also because one of my friends is a music major who went there specifically because of that, but hey.

I'm meeting up with my admissions counselor this Friday (the one designated to us at the end of the "provisional contract" thingamajig online). Do you think she'll let me in for fall if I asked? Should I try?

Bokchoi> its worth a shot. & let me know how it goes. whos your counselor?

Mine's "Gail Wentler." It seems like a lot of international students like me have her. I'll talk to her tomorrow and post about what she says.

Mine is on vacation!

Why, do you need to talk to him/her?

BTW, it was nice meeting you =)

Yeah, i had a question, but I had it answered by someone else.

Yeah! De Anza seemed like an awesome school, especially the student gov't.

mine's melissa pon. shes super duper nice. but its taking a long while for her to re-evaluate my app w/ a potential course drop. oh well.

ok admissions counselors should NOT be able to take a vacation at this crucial time. how awful.
