I'm an 08' Berkeley Applicant, and I'm beginning the application process..I want to begin my essay, but I'm not sure where to start.. can anyone help by sending me their personal statements?? I just need some as model essays, and this would be reallyyy helpful. Ofcourse, I can only write about my own experience, but I'd like to know the format and what made your essay special.</p>

<p>First thing you should know (because this sort of thing always bugs me): It's '08, not 08' -- the apostrophe goes before because it's showing omission of "20."</p>

<p>Go to the 'essays' forum -- you can get plenty of samples there.</p>

<p>I don't have mine on this computer, but try going to the essays forum. While reading other samples is useful, the most important thing I think is to write many drafts and have lots of other people read them and give you feedback.</p>
