Berkeley Stupidity

Here is some news I found on Yahoo:

"The University of California, Berkeley has suspended a fraternity whose members hazed a pledge by repeatedly firing a BB gun at him, the school said on Monday.

The prospective member of Pi Kappa Phi had been shot on April 8 at least 30 times and was later treated at a local hospital for welts and bruises.

School officials placed the fraternity on a so-called “interim” suspension, which bars members from any fraternity activities and strictly limits their use of their chapter house to residential purposes, such as eating and sleeping.

“We’re also investigating students who were actually involved in the alleged shooting,” said university spokeswoman Marie Felde.

Earlier this year, a pledge at a California State University, Chico fraternity died from water poisoning in a hazing incident there. "

What does it have to do with Berkeley being stupid?

Gudrade's just bummed that he doesn't have a college to go to next year. However, he'll always have that Yale "likely letter." Loser.

lol conor a bit harsh but yes i agree that the situation does not make berkeley "stupid" by any means. frats are around the nation and a lot of them haze as part of "tradition"

Pike had an ok reputation from what I heard. I guess this means that other fraternities is gonna get that much more scrutinized.

Hazing occurs at other universities as well; at least Berkeley does something about it, instead of idly watching and hence you can read it. Those universities that sit there and watch don't get reported to the news because they're not taking action.

Has anyone else realize that Gutrade seems to just be whining at everything and everyone?

That Was Back In 2005!

Yeah. Old News. This isn't uniquely Berkeley, this happens everywhere greek life is present. Try again.

lol. sorry im so out of date. i just saw this post and thought it was a bit out there
