<p>Anybody have any personal experiences with Berkeley undergraduate research? They say it’s a good program, but then again who wouldn’t want to say their program was “the best” or give themselves some equally prestigous title. There’s another thread just like this in the UCLA forum, so if you’ve got any info for LA post there too please!</p>

<p>Yes. Is there other Undergrad Research besides URAP? Any information on undergraduate research would be appreciated, specifically within the humanities/social sciences (as opposed to engineering/comp sci/pure science/math research).</p>

<p>i didn't do research this semester, but last semester I cataloged the Berkeley's collection of plants into an online database. It was pretty fun. I have a friend right now doing cancer research. Expect to work at least 10 hours a week.</p>
<p>Thx again FinalGear, that was what I was looking for. How early on can URAP be done, how early is it usually done? (I'm assuming you went through URAP, please correct me if I'm wrong.) How many hours of classes did you take in addition to the 10 hrs of research (if you don't mind me asking)?</p>
