<p>If you want Applied Mathematics, seriously consider NYU.</p>
<p>What type of math are you wanting to study? Both are top ranked programs - overall Berkeley is ranked at 5 an NYU at 10. But, for applied math, NYU is the clear winner as it has the best program in the country.</p>
