Berkeley waitlist

I'm an international applicant who has been waitlisted. However according to last years common data set all 200 something people were accepted of the waitlist. Was anyone else waitlisted this year? Are my chances good?

Off the waitlist*

The common data set shows for the year 2012-2013 161 people were offered a spot on the waitlist. 107 people accepted a spot on the waitlist and all were accepted.

Also, are the people taken off the waitlist spring admitted? It would be a real bummer to start college so late :(

Same I am wondering too.

does anyone have the 2013 common data set?

I believe they start in the fall. The trend has been pretty good for waitlistees (not sure if that’s a word) at Berkeley. However, what I would like to know if that’s dependent on your intended major. Just found out I was waitlisted for BioE…

I was waitlisted for undeclared social sciences

My friend and I were both waitlisted for L&S CS. Hopefully the past trend continues.

According to this no students were accepted off the waitlist last year… Error;

I was waitlisted. It will be dependent on how many people submit their SIR by May 1 (hoping not as many as Berkeley hopes so those who were waitlisted can be accepted)

I was waitlisted too, but I’m also an out of state resident and the UC schools generally accept more California residents.

Hi I am an international student. Just to help all of you, here is the link to berkeley’s common data set:

<a href=“Common Data Set | Office of Planning and Analysis”>Common Data Set | Office of Planning and Analysis;

I can summarize the results:

12/13: 161 waitlist, 107 accepted
11/12: 129 waitlist, 129 accepted
10/11: 201 waitlist, 121 accepted
09/10: have waitlist, no info
Before 09/10: no waitlist system

Let’s hope that the positive trend continues and we all get in :)

The trend seemed good until last year when apparently nobody was admitted off the waitlist

Source ^ ?

Source is from this blog… Not sure how accurate it is though Error;

I dont see any numbers on that website, where is that at?

It’s written that Berkeley didnt end up using its waitlist at all last year implying nobody from it got in…

You can always appeal, in that case…

But still I don’t get the point of waitlisting people if you are admitting all of them…

sorry I made a mistake in my earlier post:

12/13 -> 161 offered waitlist, 107 accepted waitlist, 107 subsequently admitted
11/12 -> 129 accepted waitlist, 129 subsequently accepted
10/11 -> 201 offered waitlist, 121 accepted waitlist, 0 students subsequently admitted

I hope the positive trend continues!
