I am a cc student right now, transferring in fall 2010. I discovered Berkeley's Club Cal program a couple weeks ago, applied, and got accepted into the program!

Did anyone do this, or is anyone in the "club" now?

what do i Do? Does this increase my chance of acceptance?! Wee!

Basically (from what I know, which isn’t a lot [hence me posting]) you get assistance with your transfer and someone from the admissions board helps you out and stuff. I’m not sure. But it’s seems like a great opportunity! :)

I was in it. I did have personal contact with an admissions advisor. She read over my essays and told me what to change… 123098 times to make it more berkeley esque. I was always a fantastic writer (not to toot my own horn) but she knew what berkeley wanted to hear. Also, because I was OOS before I went to CCC she informed me on the rules about being a Cali Res and how many creds I could have max and stuff. She was helpful… so we will seee. She helped me thru the spring schedule picking and all the little things because your CCC advisor might suck ass and know nothing. So now I am in the waiting game.

Wow… that looks like a really great program. Wish I had known about it! Having direct access to someone from the college you want to apply to would be a really big plus, in my opinion. Good luck to you!
