Does anyone know what the average scholarship is to Berklee? How easy/hard are they to get? Thank you!
From Berklee’s website:
‘Approximately 40 percent of entering students are awarded institutional aid, with an average award to entering students that is approximately 40 percent of tuition.’
Thanks!
From the few friends I know that were awarded money in EA this year it seems low to me. I have heard between 10 and 14 from some seriously talented kids and many more getting zero. The highest offer I have heard so far was 14K in talent and $5600 in a grant. I wonder if the later admits will yield higher results? 40% of tuition would be around 18K in aid. But keep in mind 40% of “tuition” isn’t 40% of COA which is around the 65K mark. Just so you have an idea of what to expect.
Yes, thank you so much! Information is very helpful!
My child has a friend who received a $30K scholarship from Berklee. The scholarship student never attended a Berklee summer camp. The student is a talented singer songwriter who plays multiple instruments. Certainly, this award is well above the “average”, but it shows that Berklee has the potential to award big money to the “right” candidate.
