Best 5 U.S. presidents

"Well too bad for you that these "dumb" voters choose the Republican Party! HAHAHAHA'

actually, its too bad for the country :(

democrats still don't except Mondale's record setting loss. If you don't know who mondale is, look up 1984 election.

Brett Favre 4 Prez.

accept, not except

and I do accept it. he was stupid because in a fervent anti-tax era in his convention speech he said he would raise taxes.... jeez. Also, he ran like an old democrat, as if the 1984 were 1964, sadly, it wasnt

My Top 5, with no order-

Clinton
Jefferson
Washington
FDR
Lincoln

Honorable Mention: Jackson, Kennedy, Madison, Wilson, TR

Worst 5:
George W. Bush
George H.W. Bush
Reagan
Grant
Hoover

Honorable Mention: Harding, Adams, Quincy Adams, Nixon

Yeah, he became popular because of his father. But his father didn't elect him, so to say he became Governor because of his father is entirely incorrect.

As semptitern555 said, recognotion is essential. Why do you thing Bush went to Yale? Why do you think the Kennedys had so much influence in politics? Why is Arnold Swarzzenagar Governor? Hell, why is Jeb Bush Governor? Its because they are POPULAR and have recognition. And I never said Bush Sr. voted Dubya to presidency. So keep you jokes to yourself. That is why Hillary Clinton is running for Prez in 2008.

And you provide me with wikipedia? The last time I checked for Bush biography at wikipedia, I saw a picture of HITLER's FACE!!!

And since you chose wikipedia, I'd like to quote another record of the 2004 election:

"Bush won with the smallest margin of victory for a sitting president in U.S. history in terms of the percentage of the popular vote. (Bush received 2.5% more than Kerry; the closest previous margin won by a sitting President was 3.2% for Woodrow Wilson in 1916.) In terms of absolute number of popular votes, his victory margin (approximately 3 million votes) was the smallest of any sitting President since Harry S. Truman in 1948. Furthermore, more votes were cast for candidates other than the winner than in any previous U.S. presidential election."

Remember when you said Bush won the election will the biggest margin in years? Well this is the second time I am invalidating your point. :)

I never said anything about margin of victory. I said Bush received the most votes of any President in United States history. The facts are the facts buddy. If you can find a President who received more then I would be GLAD to see your findings! HAHA.

I will gladly do research over it :)

Wikipedia is very unreliable. People frequestly mess with it. The last time I checked for Bush's biography, I saw a picture of Adolf Hitler. That just shows how unpredictable wikipedia is!!

first off it doesnt matter how many people elected Bush because the fact is more ppl voted for Bush than Kerry.

Heinz is the ugliest person I have ever seen in my life.

TakingBackSunday, you lack the ability in making witty responses :)

im not tryin to be witty...but look at yourself...a picture of hitler?? yeah sure

Just wondering, but after reading through some of these I'm discovering that there is such contempt for the republican party, it seems that a good deal of you are in support of having a single party system of government. Do any of you actually want the United States to become a single party state?

I Want Bush Out! Period!!

And in 3 years he will be out.

"The last time I checked for Bush's biography, I saw a picture of Adolf Hitler. That just shows how unpredictable wikipedia is"

who knows, his speech is hitleresque. espescially the gulags we have known as Gitmo

What country in the world has and has had.....
secret police that can arrest you without a warrant,
a law which prohibited people from warning you if you are being watched by the police
hold you indefinitely without charging you,
do not allow you to show up for a fair court
and torture you
and finally you are not allowed to address your detention or complain about your treatment

the countries I can think of are..
Stalin's USSR
Democratic Republic of East Germany
Hitler's Germany
and a few assorted third worl republics/banana republics

in fact, with the passage of the patriot act the US government has BECOME the oppressive government it was fighting in the Cold WAr and WWII

majorities in elections are meaningless if elections are rigged.

Hitler came to power democratically riding a wave of economic depression and bigotry towards people who were supposedly subverting every part of government(the jews)

Bush came to power undemocratically riding a wave of apathy and the (after 9/11, his re-election was a result of ) bigotry towards people who were supposedly subverting every part of government(any arab or middle eastern person)

the similarites are just too striking. Need I mention that the last time Saddam had an election he won 99% of the popular vote.

I'm not saying that our electoral system is as rigged as that of Iraq, but rather, the margin of error was larger than the margin of victory in this election

sempitern555, i couldnt have said it better myself :)

And in 3 years another Republican canidate will be President.

A top Democratic strategist even said that the Democrats will never win again if they don't take back some of the minority vote. And Howard Dean is angering many of the moderate Democrats (which is a lot of the party) with his radical leadership.

And for all of you Bill Clinton worshippers, he said that George W. Bush is very talented, and he predicted that he would win the 2000 election.

And in 3 years another Republican canidate will be President.

In 3 years Hillary Clinton will be president. No competition. :) And I dont like Howard Dean too!! At least we can shake on that!

"In 3 years Hillary Clinton will be president. No competition. And I dont like Howard Dean too!! At least we can shake on that!"

ya, and bonds isn't on roids. are the democrats really stupid enough to nominate clinton.

k someone fill me in on what's going on...i've been driving back and forth from place to place for the past few days so i haven't been able to get on CC.....and i'm too lazy and exhausted to read the many pages that have come in to being....

and...Hillary Clinton won't make it through the primaries

Don't worry, you haven't really missed much.

And Hilary will never be President.
