Hi!!!

I am an international student from India and I am interested in pursuing actuarial science. I have completed my graduation In Statistics and am planning to pursue my masters in Actuarial Science from Fall 2013. I have passed the P and FM exam of the SOA. I know, that mostly people advise you to take up a job and give exams side by side. But as an international student I wont be able to get a visa and hence a job directly. Thus I have decided to pursue my masters. I have admits from temple, Uconn, GSU and Columbia and I am confused about which one to pick.

As I am an international student, I have no location preference, but some people told me that it would be better to go to a university in the north east since most insurance companies are based there and hence Atlanta would be slightly out of the way and thus might be disadvantageous while finding a job. Also getting some sort of financial assistance is an important point for me. I have heard that it is possible to get TA or some other financial aid at UConn after your first semester. Is it true?? Does anyone know what is the deal with the other schools when it comes to financial aid.

Could you please tell me which would be a better school wrt job placements, exam support, faculty and in general location. Any opinion would be of great help as I need to make a decision really soon.

Thanks!!!
